I think there should be a written and well-published rule:
"Mind your comments about other people's book of interest. You might embarrass yourself without knowing it"
I had read, and re-read most of the books that I have, especially the ones I greatly favored.
Yep, read and re-read.
And it is a cycle that I enjoy. The most I did was to read all 7 HP books more than twice, the first and the second about 5 times just because the succeeding books took time to be written, I just couldn't get enough.
Imagine what you'd feel about comments I got, if you were in my shoes:
"Oh, that is a good book, you will like it!"
"Oh in which part are you? are you on the *spoiler part* when he did this and that?"
"You just started on that now?! Oh my, hurry up, I want us to talk about it!"
Homaygawd.
if I can only stab you in the face.
I just feel that it is not a glorious thing if you have read a particular book first.
I also think that it is not prestige to be a bookworm, everyone had their own interest here and there. Oh and, if you brag about being a reader, please... mind your communication skills. Mind your grammar. Your punctuation. I hate to see you make mistakes when you brag about reading. Now, that's wrong, let me rephrase. I hate to see you make mistakes when you think that being a wide read is something to brag about.
Disclaimer: not saying I have perfect grammar. But I have perfect teeth to bite your face! Stay away and just let me re-read my damn book!
